People Don't like when you say Hello?

Category: Let's talk

I'm not sure what's up with this place sometimes. All I do is say hello to people I haven't met yet here to be nice and to get to know them, and they press this ignore button thing. What's up with that?

Post 2 by Big Pawed Bear (letting his paws be his guide.) on Sunday, 22-Jun-2008 11:57:35

me thinks someitmes the ignore feature can be too easily accessed. i've hit it when i've not meant to sometimes.

You can hide ignore links in your account settings.

Thats what you call stupid people! They just want to hang out with their own little serkal.

No. Not always. I have hit the link by accident a few times but corrected it.

Yeah, I was going to post an opinion, but I see her account has already been disabled.

I thought she was nice...

But, if anyone else reads this board, I guess people hit ignore because well, they don't want to be bothered. I'm sure there are some strange folk sending out quick notes and this makes people wary. It's nothing to be offended about, just move on and do your thing.

Damn they already disabled her acount. Shit!

lol - short and sweet.
Although if she ever reads this:
When ever someone pm's me that I don't kno I look at there profile.
In your situation, I looked at your profile and noticed 2 things, 1, your new and 2, you have absolutely nothing in comon with me.
The second thing alone really windes me up - surely, its not that much of a pain to vet your choices a little so that you can find people that you share interests with?
However, I do always make an effert to talk to people because after all they made the effort to talk to me.
The only reason though that I continued the convo with you was because you were new and I wondered if you wanted any help or anything.
Just imo though.

Well she can read the message still, but off line.

I'm not normally one to post messages from other disabled people, I happen to think it's never a good idea. However, I have been asked to post the following, and I thought I might as well, as it does no harm. Alex, the user we're talking about, wanted to give you guys her email so you could still contact her. She says she'll welcome you to come by her squadron anytime and she'd arrange a plane ride. She really liked getting to know all of you. She joined again because she has matured from a few months ago. Her email is classicaltrumpetplayer@hotmail.com. Regards from 119 ANG Squadron.

Post 18 by b3n (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 23-Jun-2008 15:31:14

wasn't she the one that thought she was putting her squadran at risk by coming on here?

Post 19 by SunshineAndRain (I'm happily married, a mom of two and a fulltime college student.) on Wednesday, 25-Jun-2008 13:56:34

Squadron? What's a squadron? Well, regardless I'm still gonna post, even though we seem to be posting to a ghost of a Zoner. I've also accidently hit the Ignore button, too. And also, if I feel you've crossed the line as far as your comments or personal questions, I'll ignore you. I will also ignore you if you stalk me by logging in when I'm on and hitting me up with your pouty-face drama as some guy has been known to do. I wonder if the chick who started this topic got banned because she had multiple accounts? Not sure. Well, anyway, it doesn't matter, I just figured I'd put my answer here.

a squadron is part of the air force. I forget how many planes make one up. you can disable that button, and I agree if you bother me on ignore you go!

Evidently this is the girl who said a few months back that she'd had enough of this place and was never coming back, then with in 3 days was creating multiple accounts some of which I disabled, as I was still a Community Leader at that point. I had my suspicians the other day that it was her when she messaged me. Anyway, she's banned for creating duplicate accounts. Many of them in fact.

Dan.
